Samsung has unveiled today a new smartphone that looks like Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Grand is a smartphone with a 5-inch screen, an 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 8 MP camera.
   Even if the screen of Galaxy Grand is bigger than the screen of Galaxy SIII, the new terminal has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

   The newest analysis of  the smartphones market, conducted by Strategy Analytics, shows that Samsung Galaxy S III is, at this moment, the most popular terminal. It has gained a market share of 10.7%, compared to 9.7% of the iPhone 4S. iPhone 5 ,Apple's latest smartphone was released  very little time ago and failed to reach the top of the stack. Even so, it has a serious rate of 3.6%.
   Samsung Galaxy S III has very good sales in the recent quarters. It took advantage of the fact that the iPhone 4S has been sold very poorly before the launch of iPhone 5. But analysts say that the Galaxy S III will soon be overthrown. Sales of iPhone 5 will explode during the holiday season.    The head of Samsung Mobile Communications has confirmed the launch of a smaller Galaxy S3 designed for Europe. The new 4-inch Samsung Galaxy S3 "Mini" will be released tomorrow, October 11 in Germany.
   The new version of the popular smartphone Samsung Galaxy S3 was designed specifically for Europe, where officials believe that a 4-inch size screen is enough for a smartphone with powerful specifications.
  The Samsung Galaxy S3 "Mini" loses 0.8 inch from the diagonal and the South Korean company representatives say the new smartphone can not be considered an "entry level". The smartphone could be sold directly with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
  About the technical specifications the company didn't provide any details.

   Samsung Galaxy Note 2 gets a firmware update from Samsung, which has already been launched for phone's buyers from the UK and France.
   The new firmware update brings on the smartphone new features like AirView, Smart Rotation, Multi-View and Multi-Window.
   Using the Multi-View users can run two applications simultaneously on the screen, but the compatibility does not target all Android applications.
   The Multi-Window function provided on the Galaxy Note 10.1 can use in tandem only Samsung's applications , but on the Galaxy Note 2 the functionality has been extended to include some applications from Google : Gmail, Chrome, YouTube and Google Talk.

   Samsung has already begun to upgrade the Galaxy S3 smartphone to Android 4.1,  Jelly Bean, the update was originally announced for October. Poland is the first country in which will be released the upgrade.
   Along with Jelly Bean, Galaxy S3 smartphones will benefit from the new features promoted by Samsung  an improved "Pop up play", an "Easy Mode" with your favorite applications and widgets and a "Blocking Mode", with Do Not Disturb  functionality

   The Samsung smartphones that will receive the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean are Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy S2 LTE, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus Galaxy Mini and Galaxy S 2 Duos. The tablets are Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Note 10.1.

   After a year since the launch of the legendary terminal, Galaxy S, Samsung has released an updated version called S Plus.The manufacturer is currently preparing a Plus version for Galaxy S II, it will be, as in the first case,  a slightly improved version of the first S II.
   The next version of the famous Galaxy S II GT-I9105 will offer a screen with a higher resolution that jumping from the 480 x 800 pixels of the original at 540 x 960 pixels. But more interesting is the hardware platform, GL Benchmark data indicates a processor clocked at 1.4 GHz and a PowerVR SGX544 MP graphics processor .
   The only  solution currently available that uses this graphics core is the Texas Instruments OMAP 4470, the solution adopted by Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 ", which includes a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 core, a powerful PowerVR graphics core from and a Vivante 2D accelerator.
   The remaining specifications also include a Super AMOLED screen panel with a diagonal of 4.65 " , 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage supplemented by a MicroSD slot and an 8MP camera sensor.

   Following their $1 billion legal settlement, Apple listed eight Samsung products they want taken off the market. Now, still unsatisfied, Apple's adding two of Samsung's biggest products to their kill list.
Apple Insider reports Apple has added the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note to their requested kill list. The complaint is separate from the settlement awarded a few weeks ago, so the judge can still rule against Apple here.
   Samsung could see a ban of some of the products and not others, depending on how the judge rules. Some of the phones on the original list were a few generations old, but taking them off the market would still hit Samsung's bottom line.
   The S III sold 10 million copies of the phone in its first three months on the market. It is Samsung's "flagship product," according to the amended complaint.
   The decision to add the Galaxy Note and S III to the kill list is notable, if only because Apple is slated to launch their new iPhone and a miniature iPad over the next two months. The S III is the iPhone's biggest threat in the market right now, and the Note would be one of the 8-inch iPad's biggest competitors.

Galaxy Note II takes the design from Samsung Galaxy SIII ant the esthetic differences are summarized in size. Note II has a 5.5-inch screen, Super AMOLED , with a resolution of 1280x720.
  Galaxy Note II is based on Exynos 4 chipset,quad core, and the processor is clocked at 1.6 GHz.It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.The smartphone has 2GB RAM and a battery of 3100 mAh.
   The new Galaxy Note is thinner than its predecessor (9.4 mm compared to 9.65 mm) and weighs 180 g, has an 8 MP main camera and a 1.9 MP front camera.
   Samsung chose to redesign the stylus, S Pen, which is now more ergonomic.Other improvements were made to optimize multitasking and battery management.
  Samsung Galaxy Note II is a HSPA+ or 4G LTE smartphone and has 16GB/32GB/64GB internal memory.

The South Korean compan, Samsung, has decided to launch the Samsung Galaxy S3 a month earlier, after it noticed how much fans anticipate the launch of the new smartphone.
The dozens of concepts created by Galaxy S3 fans demonstrates that the new smartphone is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and company decided to present it in April, not in May.
No information has been officially confirmed yet, but Galaxy S3 was expected in May.The chief of Samsung China, Kim Young-Ha, said that the phone could be released earlier, in April.
South Korea's Samsung representatives denied information, but it seems clear that the launch plans for S3 has not been completed and the company might surprise fans again with an official announcement.

Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab 2 tablet , the first tablet that will run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which will have its own TouchWiz interface.

Apple has again urged the ban on sales of the Galaxy Nexus  in U.S., this time for the violation of four Apple patents. A few weeks ago, the Cupertino giant demanded Galaxy Nexus's ban for the slide mechanism used to unlock the screen.
Apple submitted a proposal to ban the sale of the first Android 4.0 phone in the States and started a federal lawsuit against Samsung.
The complaint is based on four patents, one on Siri and unified search, one for slide to unlock , one for the input word completion and one for clicking a phone number in the email to call.
Currently Samsung and Apple is judged in Germany for the slide to unlock patent , and a decision will be taken only in March.
Not long ago, also in Germany, the authorities dismissed the Galaxy Nexus ban in European countries.

Samsung Electronics announced today the launch of the Samsung GALAXY S Advance terminal, a device that will be available ,for now, in Russia, starting with February.
The phone has a 1.0 GHz dual core processor and 14.4 Mbps HSPA connectivity, a curved screen design and a 4.0inch Super AMOLED display.
Galaxy S Advance also offers a 5MP camera , the smartphone has Android Gingerbread, Samsung TouchWiz interface , and services such as Samsung Hubs and ChatON.
As storage space Galaxy S Advance comes in 8 GB and 16 GB variant , both versions can be supplemented by microSD cards.
