After the TouchPad failure,HP wants to be back in the tablets business. It's official, most likely at the end of the year we will have on the market a reloaded TouchPad , not with webOS, but with Windows 8.
The fate of webOS is unclear, but HP has decided to offer it in the open-source system and to continue production of tablets with an operating system that is more likely to attract buyers.
The first HP tablet specifications currently called "Slate 8", shows that the new device with Windows 8 might be a strong competitor for the iPad.
Thinner than the new iPad HP Slate 8 tablet has a thickness of only 9.2 mm and weighs only 680 g.With a 10.1 inch screen, HP Tablet Windows 8 will have a battery that gives an autonomy between 8 and 10 hours.
