Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Mozilla, eBay and even Wikipedia got together in this initiative and plan together to form large-scale protest. This could take place on January 23 and involves closing sites and suspension of the offered services.
The biggest fear is that if SOPA will become effective,will be like an entering into a new era of censorship, extremely disadvantageous for the holders of sites.The initiative is supported by music and film industries, considered as a bad thing by Internet companies because it cans cause problems with Copywright owners an seriously affecting their profits.
